My First teeny baby

I have always wanted to make a baby that was 4 inches or less, I admire so many friends of mine that make the beautiful tiny babies that always look so real. I have never made one smaller than 5 inches and most of mine are average of 7-9 inches. I finally got me a teeny baby made with the use of glasses and a magnifyer glass to see by. This one is 4 1/4 inches and not real cute but at least I got one this small, next time I will try to do better. Check it out, I think it should have been a boy but I found this cute little Kelly outfit for it to wear and so it is now a girl

baby Palin

I finally got my newest baby boy ready for ebay, with all the elections and things going on over here I decided to name him Palin cause I have great admiration for the VP candidate Sarah Palin.
She makes a great mother and so in honor of her I named him Palin.
He is falling asleep and yawning as he gives up his battle and goes to dreamland.
I hope you like him, he is so sweet when you hold him in your hand, I got his stuffing just right so he is cuddly yet floppy,

made for this outfit

I have had this outfit for over a year it was given to me in a swap by a special friend Kathi of ShabbyChickCottage in a swap. Finally I made a baby that is so cute in this set. I decided I would have to keep this one since I am not parting with the outfit and this baby is so cute in it even if I say so myself.
thanks kathi

Angels in disguise

I was working on my old beggar woman sculpt and the thought came to me that she needed some wings to show that no matter what we look like on the outside whether we are rich or poor or beautiful or haggard, its all what is on the inside that counts and sometimes when we are in need of an angel they appear in disguise of other people to lift us up. So here is my beggar woman who is really an angel once you take the time to look past that haggard wrinkled old face and toothless smile you can see her wings hanging gently down her back. I hope you like her and will remember to be nice to everyone you meet cause you may just be face to face with your angel

boo boo all done

I finally completed one of my boo boo babies, this little girl along with another head was left in the oven way too long as I turned off the timer and did not unplug the oven, I know I am so bad, well I completed her anyway and now since she is a boo boo she will get to stay home with me, I think she is cute anyway don't you?
I still have to do limbs for the other head and hope I can get them baked long enough to match this head, keep your fingers crossed for me, I will post he head later but here is my finished boo boo girl, her name is Leesa

how bout this face

this little baby is my latest one, Sometimes the clay just decides what it wants to be and that is what happened with this one. After I made the last 2 baby heads and had them bake too long I started to create another happy baby since this is what I was asked to make for a dear friend. Then while I was creating everything fell into place and I got this cute little face. Tomorrow I will make new clothes, we decided that this one is a boy and named Devon, stay tuned to see him in his new clothes and more photos of my boo boo babies

Krispy Kritters

I finally got 2 happy baby heads completed and had baked them both and was just doing a final bake to add the baked on hair, I was a good girl and set my stove timer, then waited until the timer buzzed and cut the timer off, then me and the grandkids went to get some lunch and sometime later I happened to think "Did I unplug the roaster" well when I got home I found the answer was no my poor baby heads had overbaked, they are now boo boo babies but will become babies never the less here are some wip photos of them I have to make a body for the first one and the second one needs some Krispy limbs to match so cross you fingers for me

totally different

I have always wanted to try to create an older person, I am fascinated with all the wrinkles and character lines they have developed through out their lifetime. Here is a wip photo of my interpretation of an older woman. It is still just basic so far but I thought it would be nice to let you follow along with this one to some degree, sorry the photos are not real clear I just took some quick shots inside, It is kind of looking like a man to me so far and looks like it will be a short person as well, Oh well that is the good thing about clay there are no set standards it can be what ever it decides to be
thanks for looking and any comments are welcomed

ebay and fees

I finally got around to putting another baby on ebay, yikes them fees are steep. Kiko is looking for her new mommy if you want to check her out on the link below.
I have not listed for a long time with all the ebay strikes and new rules etc... so I thought I should try ebay again and see just how bad the new fees are, I used to be able to list a baby in 1 category and pay for the gallery for around $1.35, now they are giving me free gallery and charging $2.00 per category, now you tell me how they think they are giving us a better deal. It is terrible to say they are scratching your back and they are really sticking a knife in it :) but that is Ebay for you they have all the buyers there looking so if we want the items to be seen we have to go to ebay or should I say feebay. I listed her in 2 categories with a reserve and they made me pay for reserve in both categories so her fees were $8.00 total before they get their chunk of my final value fees, gotta love it.

Its a girl

I finally finished my latest sculpt and decided it was a girl, I think it could be either but decided on girl as I have to do a flower theme for a challenge this baby was made for so girls are better with flowers than boys. Here are a couple photos of her without her clothes, I have to make her something floral I guess :) cross you fingers for me I am not a great seamstress.
Any ideas on names?
Can you see the bubbles on her tongue?
Keep watching for updates of her dressed

No Color Yet

Finally I have the Asain smiling baby's head baked, I still have to add color to it and make the flange bigger on the neck but here is a sneak peak, this poor baby had its face tore off 3 different times and finally I just decided this is going to have to be it, poor thing was going to get a complex going through so many surgeries :)
what do you think so far, boy or girl?
all comments are welcome, I am working on some chubby legs and arms for this one and it will be bigger than my normal babies,
stay tuned for her completed photos soon and thanks for peeking

challenging expression

I am working on a new baby, no photos as yet cause it is still in the beginning stages but this one is going to be a real challenge to do, its supposed to be a happy asian baby , talk about getting into something over my head, I may have done that with this one but it will be a fun thing to try and whether I get it close or not if I can at least get it cute and learn something from it I will be okay with it, but then I would be happier if by some miracle I could pull this one off, cross your fingers and check back as soon as I get the head done I will post progress photos

Isn't she kind of cute

I finally got my air dry bjd close enough to string it and see how I need to tweak it so its poseable, I found lots of areas to tweak, I made her a wig from some fur and I do think she is cute, I was smiling while I took her photos, she is not dressed but has no nudity to be concerned about , now I have to get her tweaked so she poses better, then put layers of Gesso or another medium on her to harden the clay, then color her and seal her and give her a face up and clothes, I am finally getting excited about her cause she now has a personality, all comments are welcome both good or bad
thanks for peeking

I decided on finishing the coloring that that lighter baby looked like she could be asian, not sure why but this is what I thought so I gave her some dark hair and think it looks cute on her
the mad baby I made into a girl although I think it may be a boy in the end but I had girl clothes for the photos
here are photos of them all done, these 2 babies are promised out to friends of mine

what ya think

here is my latest 2 heads one is made from prosculpt and one from a mix of fimo classic and translucent, there is a lot of difference in the coloration on these 2 babies, to me the prosculpt one is a bit dark and the fimo one is pale but I know they will both look real cute once they are colored, I have limbs cooling for the sleeper now and the cryer is waiting on his/her limbs
any comments are welcome

Little elf girl

I finished my elf girl she is my very first bjd and is kind of rough around the edges, she was my learning block of what not to do with the bjd dolls, she is made of polymer clay and kind of cute in an elfish way, hopefully I will get better at them the more I do
