OWOH

Hi I am Barb of BabesbyBarb, I enjoy creating babies from polymer clay. I love to take photos, quilt, and many other hobbies but sculpting is my favorite of all my hobbies. I want to learn to sculpt many different things. Polymer clay is such a fun medium to work with, the possiblities are unreal what you can create with it. Please look around and you can see some of my creations, and some older posts have some of my photos of places I have been.
I am very excited to be part of this years OWOH event. It will be fun visiting all the blogs from all over the world and meeting new blogger friends. Click on the Logo above to get more info on the OWOH event and then have fun visiting blogs and making new friends. To have a chance at winning my OWOH give away of a small one of a kind baby made from polymer clay ( see photos above), please leave a comment below this post and include your email address so that I can reach you if you win. Good Luck and thanks for stopping by to visit my blog. I hope you pop in often to see what I am up to :)

Your own giveaway is staggering, please enter us and we will keep fingers, toes and noses crossed that we are lucky!
Do you have a name yet for the cute little white-haired baby?
I'd call her "Mischevious Melinda".
Snow we have had here too in December and being from a region in France where we have 2 days at most, we found our car to be ill-equipped for the heavy German snow (30 cm of it). Nevertheless work called. Took us an extra hour to get to work and like others we were crawling along with many cars stuck on the side of the road. Still we have no snow now, thankfully.

Barb, these are just wonderful. I was watching the slide show and some of the expressions...well they did take me back to how pure discomfort can come out of a babies mouth...too bad we are taught to cover that up...just because we can loose touch of what truely is bothering us. (Didn't mean to get philisophical...) Loved your work, I'm now a follower. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for coming to visit. Love you little dolls. I really need to just sit down & learn to sculpt. I'm going to be taking a class in April sculpting with paper clay so hey, maybe I'll be able to make a doll some doll half as wonderful as yours.

I always loved sclupting with clay in school. It was way too messy to do at home though and the thought of a kiln was a nightmare. I haven't heard of polymer clay though - it sounds worth looking into! Thanks for visiting my blog for OWOH! :)

Amazing detail and so tiny! Please enter me--thanks :) OWOH #318

hello Barb :)
oh my word!! you create beautiful babies!! only that day my 5 year old saw a baby artdoll on youtube and thought they were real, telling me excitedly, how tiny this baby is... even tinier than her sister Maia (that's my second daughter, born 29 weeks so pretty tiny :) i told her there are artists who make tiny babies with clay, she doesn't seem to believe me. so if i win this HAH!! she would have to :)
thank you for coming over to my place and inviting me over to yours :)it's been a pleasure :)
HUGS!!

Hi Barb,
Your dolls are beautiful! While wandering around your blog I came across that adorable little girl who needs a name. For some reason "Fiona" popped in to my head instantly. And that's odd because it's not a name very familiar to me. Then I clicked to read the suggestions, one of which was Fiona! So for what it's worth....
The giveaway baby is gorgeous!!!!!

How clever your hands are- I'm sure it's more difficult to sculpt small features. i would love to give this wee one a home, but actually if I win her, I'm going to give her to my mom who has been collecting miniatures ever since I was young. She would be thrilled! Do come by and see if you'd like to win my prizeif you haven't already! Patsy.paterno (at) gmail.com from
